'Andy and I just think Crear, and all the people in it, are the bees knees.'

Andy and Shona, married in Caisealrag Cottage November 2009

We appreciate that you are entrusting us with one of the most special days of your lives which may feel a little daunting while we are just names on a website and Crear and Caisealrag are an unknown destination on a map! So here is a wee bit about us and who is who ..................

Stephanie, our Wee Wedding planner will ensure no detail is overlooked. From the moment you contact us, she is on hand to answer your queries and help with your plans. After many years working in some of the grandest hotels in the world, will ensure that your stay is everything (and more) that you hoped it would be.

Gill, is our fabulous florist at Crear and will create the most beautiful bouquet and also a regular witness for the weddings. She and her husband George, until recently ran a wonderful gallery and shop in Campbeltown for many years as well as having time for her own painting and four children!

George who is married to Gill, is both a photographer and artist. He would be delighted to capture your special day with literally hundreds of photographs to show your family and friends.

Elaine, our Wee Wedding Witness who can double up as a bridesmaid if required, LOVES weddings - she recently enjoyed her own not so wee wedding, after a whirlwind romance to Hector, with their children and grandchildren. She has worked in hospitality all her life, and is an expert on whisky, so can give you a wee tasting of the island distilleries you can see in the distance from the beach.

Laura, our Wee Wedding Cook, will give you a wonderful warm welcome along with her famous home baked teas, delicous stews and soups to warm you after a winter walk or can pack a summer picnic hamper filled with goodies to enjoy on the shore. She, along with Jean, will be on hand during your entire stay to ensure you have everything you need.

Laura also creates wonderful fascinators and would be delighted to make something bespoke for your special day.

To respect your complete privacy, housekeeping is always at your request and where ever possible Jean and Laura will wait till you are out and about so not to disturb.

Jan, our Accounts Administrator, came to the Wee Weddings team after following her heart to Argyll. Having run her own accountancy firm in Kent and with family flown the nest, she is planning her own wee wedding to her handsome Scotsman.

Brian, our Wee Wedding Driver, was previously a professional footballer and then an overhead linesman. Brian loves travelling and enjoys the uniqueness of every wedding and civil partnership, meeting our wee wedding guests from trains and planes arriving from all over the world and driving them to a very special part of Scotland.

Kate had the idea for Wee Weddings - a very special day with a minimum of fuss and laidback atmosphere in a beautiful location where you can bring along a handfull of your friends and family (including the four legged kind) for all or part of your stay. She worked as an artist and professional photographer for many years before founding Crear and the arts charity, space to create and would be delighted to photograph your special day.
